Mentored science fair projects for two Platt Middle School (Boulder CO) students. 2000-2001.

Mentored science fair project for Torry Eagle, Lewis Middle School. Spring 2002. (1st Place in Microbiology category, Lewis Middle School)

Future Aztecs Day – This is an event designed to recruit future college students into the Biology department.  I directed visiting high school students to teaching displays, and discussed teaching and research of biology at SDSU with them.

Volunteer activities in B.C. Mexico: Construction of schools in Colonia Esperanza, Tijuana; Participated in Dot-to-Dot Summer Sharing 2003 (Convivio de Verano), an art fair for children in Rosarito.  Assisted in teaching art class for children, Spring 2004.
