My name is Juana Vaquero, I am an undergraduate senior at San Diego State University. My major is Psychology and my minors are: Spanish and Child Development. My carrier goal is to become a School Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with an emphasis in child psychology. At the age of 21, I have accomplished many significant things in my life. I'm extremeley proud to have reach the university level of education, breaking through the mold and realities that keep the majority of my latino/a peers outside the doors of higher education. I'm now a role model for my siblings and my community, showing that through motivation and determination even a once impoverished child from Puebla can reach for the sky.
Research interest include:
- Broadly defined, I'm interested in child development, child pathology, bilingual education, psychometric theory and prevention programs for children with language disabilities.
