Dr. Lynn Gamble presented a paper in a symposium entitled Cultural and Historical Perspectives on Hunting and Gathering in North America at the Society for American Archaeology Annual Meeting in Vancouver in March 2008. Judges chose this symposium to participate in the Amerind Seminar Series next fall.
David Christian has been invited by the Librarian of Congress, James H. Billington, to accept an appointment as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the John W. Kluge Center of the Library for four months in 2009.
